When I first started to naturalize my home in 1998, I had no idea what I was doing....and honestly I have kept searching for better and always will.  I believe I have found the best way natural way to do your laundry, dishes, and more.  I made my own laundry powder years ago and found out that many of diy laundry recipes trap dirt in your clothes. I recently discovered an even better way to naturally clean our clothes and for the first time removed red dirt stains.

My laundry system...

If I have extra tough stains, I first soak them in Molly Suds Oxygen Whitener if necessary or spray them with Puracy stain spray. I then wash them in my washing machine with Molly's Suds Super Laundry Powder with white vinegar in the rinse cycle dispenser. In the dryer, I use wool dryer balls.

Washing machine tip....keep your washing machine door open between washes at least until it's dry so you don't get mold. I also do a cleaning cycle on my dishwasher, washing machine, and vacuum the dryer lint out every first of the month.

Hydrogen peroxide also works for blood stains and make sure you rinse whatever has blood on it with cold water first.  You could also do a quick wash or rinse on cold in the washing machine and then wash as normal.

Freshening furniture and carpet...

I love Biokleen enzyme stain remover one pack spray or Biokleen two pack spray  ...also works awesome for food, blood, grass, dirt, etc.  You can get a gallon Biokleen here. 

Click here for my favorite dishwasher pods. In the rinse compartment, I use white vinegar & 10 drops of lemon essential oil, or 5 drops lemon, 5 drops tea tree.

Dish Hand Washing Soap:

In a 16 ounce foam pump add....

Purified Water  

1/2 -1 TBS Dr. Bronner's Sal Suds

Mirror & Glass Cleaner:

1/2 cup rubbing alcohol

1/3 cup white distilled vinegar

fill the rest of a 16 ounce spray bottle with purified or distilled water and add 20 drops of lemon essential oil

Carpet Cleaner:

1 DROP of Dr. Bronner's Sal Suds in the water filled tank

Fruit & Vegetable Wash

Leather Cleaner & Moisturizer:

In a 16 ounce glass spray bottle add...

2 Cups of Purified Water

1 TBS Dr. Bronner's Castile Soap

1 tsp Vegetable Glycerin (optional)

optional 5 drops Essential Oil from safe for leather oils below

Or

1 Cup purified water

1 TBS  white vinegar

1 tsp vegetable glycerin

1/2 tsp jojoba oil

3 drops of essential oil

Optional essential oils safe for leather....

Lavender

Frankincense

Sandalwood

Cypress

Geranium

Roman Chamomile

Vanilla Oleoresin (properly diluted)

Cedarwood

Germ Killing Cleaning Spray:

In a 16 ounce glass spray bottle add...

1/4 Cup White Distilled Vinegar

Purified Water

1/2 TBS Dr. Bronner's Sal Suds 

10 drops each of Rosemary, Tea Tree, Peppermint, Lavender, Lemon or Orange Essential Oil

5 drops Oregano Essential Oil

All Purpose Cleaner:

1/2-1 TBS Dr Bronner's Sal Suds

fill the rest of a 16 ounce spray bottle with purified water

Soft Scrub:

3 1/3 Cups Baking Soda

1 Cup Dr. Bronner's Castile Soap OR 1/4 Cup Dr. Bronner's Sal Suds

Mix with fork in large glass bowl until smooth ….add....

1 Cup Water and mix again....add...

1/4 Cup White Distilled Vinegar

Keep mixing until all lumps are gone

Use a funnel to pour in a 32 ounce squirt bottle

Furniture Polish:

In an 8 ounce spray bottle mix.....

1/3 Cup Olive oil

2/3 Cup White Vinegar

1 TBS Glycerin

35 drops Lemon Essential Oil

Shake well every time you use this
